Devanahalli Fort Is Known To Be The Birthplace Of Tipu Sultan, Popularly Known As The Tiger Of Mysor... e. It Was Established In 1501 By Mallabairegowda. There Are As Many As 12 Semi-Circular Bastions At Regular Intervals On This Approximately Oval East-Oriented Structure Veneered With Dressed Stone. On The Inner Side Of The Fortress, There Is A Large Battlement. The East And West Portals Of The Fort Are Both Adorned With Cut Plasterwork. The Entrances Are Rather Modest, Yet They Were Enough For The Horses Of The Past. Gun Points Made Of Lime And Masonry Are Installed On The Bastions. View More
